A Trip to Krause Brothers Farms
Inspired by a recent trip to Krause Brothers Farms, I felt moved to share with the world what I have learned about the art of picking raspberries.
First, it is vital that you choose a row that has not been over picked by eager berry lovers. As a general rule of thumb, the farther you walk down the row, the better the quality of berry. So don’t be lazy, put on your walking shoes and go for an adventure.
Once you have found a suitable row, it is time to look for berries. Only pick berries that are ripe. That means if you have to tug really hard on the berry to make it come off of the bush, it is probably not ready to be picked.
I recently made my annual trip to Krause Brothers Farms to pick raspberries. There is something so refreshing about picking your own raspberries.
